Instruction Types
All of the courses in IJLP will be conducted online through the “e-IJLP” (LMS, Leaning Management System) due to COVID-19. (There is no face-to-face class in this semester).
Students should register for classes through the Acanthus Portal (Student Information Service) before the first lesson of each Class.
Class details, such as class format, requirements and the maximum number of students, are written in the syllabi. Please make sure to read the syllabi before registering for classes.

How to Register for IJLP Japanese Language Courses
How to attend the first lesson of each class
After you have registered for classes, you can access to the course of each class on LMS(e-IJLP).
All the international student who wish to register for Japanese language classes(including the students who are overseas) must attend the first lesson on “e-IJLP”.
The steps for participating in Japanese language classes are presented here.
1. Choose your classes by looking at the timetable and syllabi and decide which classes you would like to take.
2. Register for these classes through the Acanthus Portal by the day before the first lesson of each class.
* During the registration period, you can change your registration for classes anytime.
3. Log in to the e-IJLP and access to the course that you want to join in.
4. Read the course syllabus, course guidance and course schedule which are put on the upper section.

・Skill Specific Classes: Students may take a class of their current level, or of a level one above or below their current level (Only if you the instructor permits it). The level of each class is written on its syllabus. Be sure to check the class level before registering.

Upon entering the IJLP, students are required to take a placement test. The results of this placement test will determine your level and the classes you may take.

Courses are offered completely online(LMS) and allow students to learn on their own schedules, as they meet specific deadlines and complete assignments. Instructors guide students’ learning with lessons, activities, and feedback through a LMS course site. |

Distance Learning + Web Meeting |
Courses are basically offered online(LMS) and some of the part are instructed through web conference platform scheduled on specific days and at specific times(JST). Students meet as a class remotely through Zoom or Skype; instructors will tell students which platform to use. Students complete assignments according to the course schedule. Class sessions take place in real time, and the instructor leads course sessions. *Students who will study from outside of Japan can take this course type even though they can not join in the synchronous session.
